Mission Statement
The mission of Desert Valley Academy is to build men and women of
wisdom an character to become leader-servants.
The Desert Valley College vision is to create within students, a
determination to be useful instruments in the hands of the Lord in
building the kingdom of God on earth; to be people who will increase
in faith, knowledge, and understanding; who will develop a love,
understanding and appreciation for America and its Founding Fathers
as guided by God; who will develop the academic knowledge and skills
that will enable them to make self-education a life long pursuit;
who will learn to reason and discern between right and wrong, truth
and error; and will develop character and self discipline of mind
and body and spirit; and who will conduct themselves in every aspect
of life as Christians.
All activities, instruction, teaching, mentoring, and administration
at DVC will be accomplished with a focus on the above objectives,
and insofar as possible, in harmony with revealed principles of the
restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Finally, in completing this mission Desert Valley Academy's faculty,
staff, students, and administrators will make their service and
scholarship available to the world. In pursuing this agenda Desert
Valley Academy will actively pursue the support of leaders
throughout the LDS church who wish to share in this mission.
